I have a confession... I'm addicted to fonts. I have a bazillion (ok, maybe that's a slight exaggeration). But, for real, I have a LOT.

When I start a new project, if there's a font involved, it takes me forever to find just the right one.

That's why I wanted to share these new fonts I found with you! So you can have just the right font to express your thoughts and ideas!

And the best part... these are all free for personal use!

The Cricut writes fonts by following the lines of them. That means that they don't always look great so you should test with the marker you will use before doing a lot of writing.

To test, I wrote the font name on the left and 'you are loved' on the right with each font.

For the first test, I used the Cricut 0.4 Tip Turquoise marker. I like all of them with this marker, even though Yesie and Hello Morgan have a lot of visible space in each letter.

For the second test, I used the Cricut Copper marker. I like all most of them with this thicker marker... Mathanfino Script and Dhanikans Signature are a little hard to read. But, really, it is personal preference and the words and font size you're using.

And with that, let's list the links to the fonts!

1) Mathanifo Script

I love the casual elegance of this font script! I love how well it writes on the Cricut even more.

2) Artilla Script

I hope you're swooning over this font as much as I am. Bring on all the swooshes!

3) Rachela

Soooo pretty! And don't you just love that little heart? There's an option for one at the end of each lower case letter.

4) Dhanikans Signature

Oh, these loops... the h, k, and l make me happy, happy, happy!

5) Yesie

This is another lovely font that has just the right amount of script to be fun!

6) Hello Morgan

This sweet font is full of cuteness and curls!

7) Kinan

This script font is beautiful and masculine.

Which of these do you love? Let me know in the comments!

How to Use Downloaded Fonts in Design Space – Learn how to use fonts downloaded from sites such as The Hungry JPEG or Dafont in Cricut’s Design Space.

Dafonts

One of the biggest questions that new Design Space users have is how to use fonts that they download in the Cricut software. Thankfully, I am here to show you exactly how simple it is.

To start, you will need to find the font you want to download. I previously shared a post on where to find high quality fonts (which make a huge difference when cutting, as you want a smooth cut), which offers some great ideas. My favorite is still The Hungry JPEG (THJ) because I love their $1 section and amazing commercial use licence, but I also love the $1 Deal Days that Font Bundles holds monthly.

If you are not going to be using your items for sale, there are many sites to download free fonts. However they are usually personal use only and aren’t always the best quality to use in designs to be cut. You can definitely try them though, but I highly recommend trying the free weekly fonts, $1 deals, and font bundles out there.

How to Use Downloaded Fonts in Design Space – Installation

Once you’ve picked the perfect font, you’ve completed the hardest part. I’m going to walk you through this process with a font I purchased from THJ, but it is the same for almost all sites.

Download the font to your computer (using the download button), and it will be delivered in a .zip format. It will usually pop up in your bottom toolbar, or you may have to go into your folders to find your downloads.

Unzip the folder. To do this, my Mac just requires me to click on it and it unzips. For PC users, right click and choose Unzip. Open it to see the font files. There may be two versions, a .ttf and a .otf. If so, I always choose the .otf version to install.

For Macs, right click and choose Open With –> Font Book, and then choose Install Font. For PCs, right click and choose install.
